After the release of the two EPs 'Friendly Fire' and 'Four Songs', Matthew plans to spend the next few months gigging and recording and will release his debut single after the summer.

Signing to Food Records in 1999, at the tender age of 21, Matthew comes from a musical family.
By the time he was ten, he'd been playing bass and touring clubs for two years. His parents were avid folk musicians and formed a family band as soon as Matthew's fingers could reach the strings.
Now resident in Nottingham, he has been described as a fragile Elliot Smith, a lucid Nick Drake, and a male Beth Orton!
