MARY COUGHLAN
   

Mary is Irelands premier jazz and blues singer and shall be accompanied on piano by Professor Peter O Brien on this return to ronnies as part of her UK tour.

Her voice is that of a woman in all it's seasoned forms and she expresses her bluesy torch songs with the truest passions, intensities, wondrous emotions and instincts that your likely to experience.
Her acclaimed albums 'Tired And Emotional' through to 'After The Fall' have seen her receive comparisons on the level of Billie Holiday and Marianne Faithful.
Billboard in the US wrote "she sings with the knowing confidence of one who has lived several lifetimes and learned life's lessons the hard way, but somehow emerged with more hope than bitterness", with Mojo adding "Coughlan has a voice to kill for" and The Guardian said "a red haired warrior queen with a voice like bleeding cherries".
