IAN McNABB

Formerly of THE ICICLE WORKS

Previous shows at Ronnie Scott's, where Ian undertook a six night residency in '98, became the catalyst for the songs which comprised the album 'A Party Political Broadcast On Behalf Of The Emotional Party'.

This was a totally 'on-form' album that saw Ian enjoy the company of fellow musicians Mike Scott (The Waterboys) and Danny Thompson (Nick Drake and John Martyn).

His latest album, entitled 'Ian McNabb' is released on 2 April 2001 on Sanctuary Records. A collection recorded at Ian Broudie's studio on Pete Townsend's boat!

Ian formed The Icicle Works whose hits included 'Birds Fly (Whisper To A Scream)', 'Love Is A Wonderful Colour','Understanding Jane' and 'Evangeline'.

He was soon admired for his rich vocals, idiosyncratic and soulful power-pop and the social and spiritual depths of the songs.

The band released four top forty albums before Ian went solo. One of his solo albums 'Head Like A Rock' was a collaboration with 'Crazy Horse' (Neil Young's legedary band) and received a prestigious 'Mercury Prize' nomination.

Few have such an extensively inspired songbook to choose from and the convictions of expression to perform them ... Don't Miss !
