The Songwriters Festival welcomes back Gemma, now that her debut album Night On My Side is out and gathering endless rave reviews.

Gemma played the very first two festivals solo acoustic as an unknown, supporting Sunhouse and David Gray and she was leaving goosebump impressions then.

Since then her ep's 4.35am and Work To Calm created the perfect flavour of what was to come in the brilliant twelve songs that comprise her album. Her songs often combine the opposing forces of fragility and chaos, with her irresistible vocal conveying the soul and emotion.
She has toured with Beth Orton, Rufus Wainwright, Sparklehorse and Zero 7.
