songstress Dar began her career playing the coffeehouse folk cicuit of
Boston, where her abilities to deliver informative and inspiring storylines
in her songs evolved. Her fabulous
live reputation has seen her play Lillith Fair in the US and toured with
both Ani Di Franco and Richard Thompson. Her latest release is a live album entitled Out There. Support comes from TIFT MERRITT Tift is a new signing to Lost Highway Records (Ryan Adams, Lucinda Williams) and has her album Bramble Rose out now, which is produced by Ethan Johns who produced Gold for Ryan Adams. Texas born Tift says "I'm trying to make an album in the style of early Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris and Bonnie Raitt" No Depression magazine wrote "a malleable drop-dead gorgeous voice that can be brassy like Patsy Cline or soft-spoken like Emmylou" www.tiftmerritt.com further support comes from DAMIEN RICE Damien released his album The Story Of O on his own label in Ireland, after acquiring the production skills of David Arnold (Bjork, Cardigans, Madonna) and saw himself within months being awarded nominations at The Irish Music Awards and The Hot Press Awards, along with a chart single. He went from playing to 50 people to 1500. He's now been picked up by David Gray's management team and the album is being released in England on the day of his appearance at The Songwriters Festival.
