With their soon to be released album 'Parachutes', following the singles 'Blue Room', 'Shiver' and 'Yellow' and being genuinely hailed by everyone as the best new band around, 2000 certainly looks like being their year.

The band have gigged furiously : on the 'NME' tour (which inc. Shack) and then tours with 'Terris' and then 'Muse', whist also receiving the support of Radio One's Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley.

Singer Chris Martin has one of the most intensely heartfelt vocals around and the band produce genuinely affecting music from the soul, high on emotional expression.
